The Domestic Mink

Welcome! The Domestic Mink is a Facebook group primarily for those who wish to keep mink as pets/companions, but is also inclusive of mink kept as animal ambassadors, or as sanctuary/zoo residents.. 

This web page is meant to serve as the “files” section for The Domestic Mink FB group as well as a stand alone resource for the general public. It is  for anyone who is interested in keeping domestic mink, anyone who wants to research their care, and anyone who is interested in the species in general. We will cover many topics of care, including housing, diet, enrichment and so on. This site is based in the US.

Please do feel free to join “The Domestic Mink” on Facebook to ask questions and speak directly to mink owners from around the world. We embrace the idea that there is no single “set-in-stone” method for many aspects of care- what works for one person & mink may not work for another. We’d love to help you discover a range of things to try with your mink, and help you to find the care methods that work best for your unique situation and mink.
